Wearable Paper Art with Azania Tripp
Wearable Paper Art with Azania Tripp
For 1 ½ hour, participants will create their own one-of-a-kind wearable jewelry piece designed with paper. Since 2019, Azania Tripp has been facilitating workshops for community members to design their own pins, earrings, and pendants out of recycled magazine paper. Any skill level is invited to participate. The primary tools used are scissors and Exacto knives. Participants will be able to select wood shapes, circles, triangles, and squares of varying sizes and design with paper to create a wearable one-of-a-kind art piece. Hole punches in different fun shapes like leaves, triangles, small circles, and more will be provided so participants can collage. After the workshop, the artist will complete the pieces with sterling silver attachments and seal the art with resin for longevity.
